Kisaku....just a short trip away!

Across the creek and into the depths of Deira lies one of the most authentic Japanese joints in town, Kisaku!  Walking into this small hole in the wall restaurant, you are transported into another world.  With a room full of  Japanese clientele, you know you're in for a treat!
Below are tuna and mango fresh summer rolls.  Very tasty and light, perfect way to begin the meal......
Spider Rolls were the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy.  The rice was fragrant and beautifully textured.  The BBQ eel roll is also one of my favorites, the sweetness from the sauce balances well with the natural flavor of the eel.  It's a healthy and delicious meal.
The fried tempura on the other hand is not healthy, but super tasty.  The thick cut vegetables and  succulent shrimp were all cooked to perfection.  My favorite item on this plate was the crispy carrot tempura threads, the carrot was sweet and the tempura was crunchy but not greasy. Yum Yum Yum!

Sweet miso marinated Sea Bass.  How can you go wrong with this combination.  It's been recreated in many restaurants across Dubai, but this dish is unpretentious and respects the authenticity of ingredients.
We also enjoyed the seaweed salad and udon noodle stir-fry.  The flavors were spot and did justice to Authetic Japanese cuisine.  All in all one of the tastiest and simplest meals I've had in Dubai.  I highly recommend this restaurant for a great night out, and if you're in the mood, they also have 3 Karaoke rooms for your enjoyment, but make sure you book ahead.  It's a real "hot spot" and often get reserved way in advance.....

  2. Hi Yasmin! You're right, the hotel isn't the most visually appealing, but i think it makes the experience that much more special:)
